I have to report for the information
of His Excellency the Governor that a large
party of Convicts effected their escape
from this Island at
about 9.30
this morning,
which they did
by overpowering the Eunuchs(?) and Police
and Seizing
one
of the large Stone boats. I immediately sent two boats in pursuit, but the Convicts having succeeded in reaching the mainland immediate Assistance is requested.
